IHWSH is proud to join our industry colleagues in this inaugural campaign to raise awareness about common medical problems: depression and anxiety.
We challenge the Houston bar community to create menu-worthy, alcohol-free beverages to support those whose healing requires the avoidance of alcohol. We invite pastry chefs to create confections that remind us that one in five Houstonians can have trouble appreciating the sweetest things about life.
Participation fee of $25.00 per establishment and a minimum donation of $1 per WellWeek item sold is requested. All proceeds with be donated to Legacy Community Health, National Alliance on Mental Illness Greater Houston and Southern Smoke.
With our united efforts, we aim to stimulate conversation and chip away at the stigma associated with mental illness that may be preventing our friends and loved ones from seeking help.
